The mission of division is to make the rural villages of India self reliant by providing a mean for self sustenance and the source of energy for futuristic development
OBJECTIVES
1. To promote scientific basis for the Jatropha propagation, cultivation, harvesting, processing and marketing
2. To create a system where in the Jatropha becomes a source of income for landless, small and marginal farmers and farming community in general
3. To generate self employment opportunities for educated and uneducated rural youth
4. How to make domestic and export market viable by sustainable farming
5. To show the path and mechanism for biodiesel production, electricity generation
6. via increased production of Jatropha for the prosperity of the nation
7. To ensure powerful and successful participation of Indian farmers in global race particularly under WTO regime
8. To improve quality planting material using present day bio technologies
