Unrefined sunflower oil contains useful amounts of essential fatty acids and a high amount of vitamin E and since it is inexpensive can be blended with a variety of other base oils
We personally do not use Sunflower oil, since we find that absorption is not that good as with other carrier oils, and it does tend to leave an oily feeling on the skin.
Sunflower oil could be used as a base for a massage blend with other vegetable oils added to enhance the blend, but does not make a good massage oil on its own. |
